Well, I’m Nadine C. Duncan, Ed. S.
Jack of All Trades and Master of Some!
Why have three websites when I only need one?
I have found that these three vastly different things not only bring me joy, but allow me to share my gifts with the world.
I am originally from Hillside, New Jersey. I hold a BA in Communications & Sociology and a Masters in Education from the George Washington University. Currently, I am completing a Doctorate in Special Education at Kennesaw State University.
I have been an educator for over ten years. I started my teaching career as a fourth-grade teacher in Southeast, DC and began teaching special education when I moved to the Atlanta Metro Area. After four years with the Dekalb County School System, I moved overseas to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates to teach English as part of a major school reform. I taught English to Pre-K and Kindergarten students in a Dual-Immersion program in Baniyas, Abu Dhabi for one year. After that year, I was promoted to Head of Faculty of one of the largest girls’ school in the Abu Dhabi Region and led an outstanding staff of twenty-two English teachers.
Over the last few years, I’ve had the pleasure of traveling to over 35 countries and experiencing life for all that it has to offer. As my perception of myself and the world has developed, I endeavor to provide the same opportunities for others. My ultimate desire is for each one of us to discover how we are more alike than we are different while still honoring the beauty of our differences.
In 2014 I returned to Atlanta, GA after nearly four years living abroad. Since then I founded two companies and wrote a book on travel. I am the Founder and Executive Director of The PrOOF Project, Inc. – a non-profit organization focused on Career Mentorship at the Elementary Level and Title I Teacher Support. I am also the founder of an education consulting company entitled Products of Our Future, LLC – a company that specializes in non-traditional training for educators. And last, but certainly not least, I am the author of Diary of a Traveling Black Woman: A Guide to International Travel.
In my free time, if there is such a thing, I am an active member of the Stone Mountain-Lithonia Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a fellow of the 2015 Class of the New Leaders Council. Most recently I have enjoyed completing graphic design and website building projects for start-ups from here (Georgia) to Florida.
